How the ledger works
Three things, and nothing more for now.
A small, honest core: a public daily page, your own company, and one decision a day. Everything else comes later, and only if players ask for it.

The Meridian Trading House keeps its books as other houses keep their secrets — completely, and without apology. One may read the day's page and know exactly where the money went.
There is no drama on the wharves to match a clean ledger. Every ducat accounted, every bargain dated, every quarrel set down in a steady hand before the lamps are put out.
