Privacy Policy
What Chrono Ledger World collects when you use the site, why we hold it, who else touches it, and how to get it back or have it deleted.
Draft. A plain-language policy written to match how Chrono Ledger World works today. It will be reviewed and finalised before the site opens to the public.
Two kinds of record
What you give us. Your email address (for the sign-in link and any notices you opt into). If you create a character: a display name and a gender (male or female). If you found a company: its name, country of origin, and industry. As you play: the decisions and votes you submit, and the diary entries generated for your company.
What the servers record. Standard technical logs kept by our host — your IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps of requests — used to run the service and investigate abuse. One essential cookie keeps you signed in. Your theme choice (light / dark) is stored only in your own browser.
How the data is used
To run the game and nothing else: to send your one-time sign-in link, to write your daily page and its decision, to keep your progression (Coins, Prestige, XP, Level), and to publish the public Mother Company feed — which contains no personal data.
We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising or behavioural tracking.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site. They process data on our instructions only:
- Turso — the database that stores accounts, companies, and entries.
- Vercel — hosting and server logs.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — generates diary entries and decisions. The prompts we send describe your company and its situation; they are not used to train models under our API terms.
- Spacemail — delivers the sign-in and notice emails.
We will also disclose data if required by a valid legal process.
Retention
Your account data and your company’s entries are kept while your account exists. Delete your account and we remove your personal data and your company’s entries. Server logs are rotated on our host’s standard schedule. The public Mother Company feed is kept indefinitely and holds no personal data.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you your data, correct it, export it in a portable format, or delete your account and everything tied to it. Email privacy@chronoledger.world from your registered address and we’ll act within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA) some of these are legal rights; we extend them to everyone.
18+ only
Chrono Ledger World is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email privacy@chronoledger.world and we will remove it.
